The crude drug Condurango Cortex, bark of Marsdenia cundurango (Asclepiadaceae) native to north-western part of South America, has been uses as an aromatic bitter stomachic in popular medicine, and also used against cancer or syphylis in folk remedy though no report has been found on such effects. According to the reports on the antitumor screening by CCNSC, the extract of this plant was evaluated failure against Sarcoma-180, Adenocarcinoma 755, Humansarcoma HSI, and KB systems.
